A Cupcake was Born: The Story of Trailercakes
Happiness is in the frosting. Trailercakes is the brainchild of Heather and Leora, two children of the 70’s. They had one goal in mind when creating their cupcakes:
Taste the best.
It isn’t a beauty contest either. They don’t spend hours making sure every sprinkle is in the perfect spot or that the frosting sits perfectly on top of each cupcake. After all, cupcakes are comfort food; they aren’t meant to be organic or fat free. Trailercakes has created the green bean casserole of cupcakes. Delicious, comforting, OMG-lick-the-frosting-off-your-fingers, crumbs all over your shirt, cupcakes. Sold out of an Airstream Trailer, these cupcakes come with built-in street cred.
And the owners? Heather started a cooking school out of her house when she was 11 years old and Leora once ate an entire sheet cake in one sitting. Don’t act like you’re not impressed. Both women have always loved baking and have each had successful ‘real’ careers in their own right. Creating Trailercakes has allowed them to follow a passion that began when they were young, and is rooted deep in slap-your-mother delicious cupcakes.
